Family vacations are some of the best times for bonding. There’s nothing like creating life long memories with your kids and also showing them what the world has to offer. The one drawback is the cost of vacations can really become an obstacle. However, there are plenty of locations around the country that offer incredible family-friendly fun without having to spend a fortune. Here are some places to try to visit with the whole family.
Visiting Yosemite in the off-peak season like September or May can truly be a fantastic time. The weather will still be nice and it won’t be as crowded as in the summertime. You can go biking, hiking, enjoy what nature has to offer like sequoia trees, and of course, the incredible waterfall. If you enjoy camping, make sure you book in advance.
Outer Banks, NC
The beaches of North Carolina are seriously underrated, and you can have some serious fun at the Outer Banks. Take some time to visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial too. Little ones will love spending time at the Pirates Adventures of Outer Banks. You can also enjoy a relaxing walk along Duck boardwalk.
Myrtle Beach, SC
While Myrtle Beach has the reputation of being a spring break destination, it’s actually a lovely and affordable spot for family vacations. There are amusement parks, water parks, mini-golf courses, and aquariums that will keep your little ones busy for hours. There are also lots of free concerts during the summer.
A seriously underrated Florida beach can be found at Destin, which offers soft, white sand and incredible fishing spots. You can head on a boat tour, snorkel, and parasail as well. Destin is much less expensive than other Florida beach getaways and it is also a lot less crowded.
Niagara Falls, Canada
Niagara Falls is a classic for a reason: those waterfalls are a sight to take in. You can see them from the Canadian side or the U.S. side. The nearby hotels are affordable, and there are plenty of attractions as well. There’s lots of hiking too, including at Niagara Glen and Dufferin Islands.
